Yes, you need to be aware of Project 2025.

Despite what many claim that Trump had “no idea” about its construction, anyone who has read the contents of Project 2025 and viewed the RNC would not question that it is a driving force in the platform of a new Trump presidency.

There are many who think that the scope and power of Project 2025 is being overhyped and blown out of proportion. Some have commented that it’s just another document produced by another partisan think tank. That may be so. But looking into how many think tanks which wield much power are actually allied within larger “groups”, it might be worth examining the ties that the Heritage Foundation has with groups here in NC which exert great influence in our own NC General Assembly.

Yet, there is still a lot of 2024 left before 2025 comes.

Whether you give credence to the alarms lifted over Project 2025, you must admit that we need to live deliberately in the rest of 2024.

North Carolina has 100 counties, each with a county public school system (some have cities with their own LEAs). According to the Labor and Economic Analysis Division of the NC Dept. of Commerce as reported by myfox8.com,

That means public school educators represent a base for most communities. 

November 5, 2024 occurs before Project 2025 could ever manifest itself in any form – if it does.

I strongly urge anyone in North Carolina who cares about public schools to vote this November. If you know anyone in North Carolina who is registered to vote, then please encourage them to do so. Why? Because you definitely are in a state where public education is under assault by the private sector posing as reformers.

If our public school system is to recover and thrive, then this trend must stop.
