A new commercial released in which Mark Robinson and his wife talk about the guilt they feel for having gotten an abortion 30 years ago attempts to portray a man of contrition – someone who has grown from a life lesson that allows him to connect with the struggle of others.
Yet that commercial does not come about unless there is some sort of pressure to present yourself in a manner that so many actions and words contradict for political reasons.

If you listen to the words in the commercial, you will also notice that he changes his stance on abortion laws. Why? Because he wants to get elected.

Here’s a recent post that Robinson recorded on Facebook for Teacher Appreciation Week 2024 that shows another “change of heart” and announcement of personal growth.

A nice message, but it does make me think of that time Robinson called teachers “wicked” people.

Actually, for a Teacher Appreciation Week a few years ago, Robinson went as far as to comment on specific teachers he had in his own school years.

There are a lot of negative connotations that come with the description of “heifer.”

And that reference to Roscoe P. Coltrain [sic] is an allusion to the dim-witted sheriff on the 1970’s television show The Dukes of Hazzard.

Roy Cooper would rather turn down the vice presidency than leave the state and leave Mark Robinson in charge. He must never be our governor.
