If you follow national educational news, you surely would have come across Ryan Walters, the young firebrand of a state superintendent in Oklahoma.

To say that he is a Christian nationalist would be accurate. His words and actions as the top education official in the heavily red state are well-known.

Walters is the face of the movement to overtly inject evangelical Christianity into public schools and he has others who wish to emulate his tactics and strict non-separation of church and state.

She literally is talking about what is happening in Oklahoma and using it as a blueprint for the unfortunate possibility of her election as NC’s state super.

Please understand that North Carolina already has a course available in its public high school registration offerings on Bible History.

It is usually taught through a social studies department with an emphasis on the “history” part. What Walters wants in Oklahoma is for the Bible to be taught as a moral and religious beacon for students to be ministered about.
