Michele Morrow In USA TODAY – More Reason To Not Elect Her

If you have not seen Sara Pequeno’s column this week in USA Today concerning Michele Morrow, it’s worth the read.

Pequeno asked Morrow about many of the videos/comments attributed to her in the past and while Morrow’s answers attempt to again divert from the actual questions as usual, the fact that a national newspaper is focusing on Morrow means that the race for NC State Superintendent is on a lot of people’s radar.

“Children believe any adult that is put in front of them,” Morrow told me. “And if we are telling children to be divided by the color of their skin, if we are putting politics into the classroom, if we are discussing the fact that they might be in the wrong body and that the United States is inherently racist, and that socialism is the answer for America and that capitalism is a threat to the entire world, then that is indoctrination, it is lies, and it needs to stop.”

As someone who went through the North Carolina public school system, I can assure you that I saw no brainwashing occurring. If you don’t believe me, a task force spearheaded by the lieutenant governor, conservative firebrand Mark Robinson, failed to find compelling evidence of indoctrination.

Of course, Morrow is wanting to emulate Oklahoma’s firebrand state super, Ryan Walters.

Using Walters’s tenure as a template for NC would be disastrous. In fact, he is about to have impeachment proceedings begin.

That’s right – he’s calling for the hearings himself.

As well as members of his own party.
