Please do not drop out now, Lt. Governor.
While you officially cannot be dropped from the ballot as early voting is beginning, you could loudly call for a massive write-in campaign for another chosen individual from the NC GOP.
Please do not.
In fact, I want you to augur in. Dig you heels even more into the NC dirt and become even more indignant toward those who supposedly came up with these “salacious lies” against you.
I want you to continue to deny what CNN reported – more like what you said at your first public appearance since the now-famous report.

That’s right – “FULL THROTTLE!”
And the reason this public school teacher wants you to stay in the race and be as loud as you possibly can be shouting your conspiracy theories and unfounded claims about climate change and non-existent systemic racism is that you are doing a great service to our younger generation, especially those in high school.
You literally are teaching them the best of life lessons.
First, you are instructing them on the power of the Internet. Maybe students will pay more attention to what they post online for fear of how it might be brought back to life in the future when those comments, pictures, or posts may show an unflattering version of themselves. It’s like giving them a real life example of the need to edit, revise, and proofread what goes into print or is read by others.
Wow! That just went cross-curricular because the need to edit, revise, and proofread is also taught in English classes.
You are teaching them the importance of math. When you said that you don’t do math very well in response to past unpaid tax bills, you helped to instill the need to keep up with those skills.

That leads to your influence on financial literacy which, thanks to Dan Forest, we have as a required course for all NC students. When students see what happens when you aren’t financially literate, they see they need to be prepared for the future.

You are solidifying this younger generation’s attention to climate change.

Considering that you will more than likely leave this earth before the average high schooler does means that you will not have to possibly endure the very environmental effects of man-made climate change. In fact, your loud denials of science are cementing the younger generations’ need to proactively work to combat the warming of the earth.
And what you have done for the social sciences and the study of history cannot be measured. The denial of the Holocaust and the denial that we have had and still continue to have systemic racism can sometimes make people really go out and look for the truth.

Computer science. Reading. Writing. Math. Financial literacy. Science. History.
You are teaching them so much…
…of what not to do.
