Looking at what the most powerful gerrymandered politician in the state released in response to the devastation of Hurricane Helene is a study in contrast when looking at words versus actions.


Here is a man who ignored the expansion of Medicaid for over a decade that denied many people in the western part of North Carolina insurance.
Here is a man who has deliberately not followed the precepts of the LEANDRO decision that would have helped all of the public schools in western NC.
Here is a man who moved to extend vouchers to wealthy families when our public schools in the entire state were already underfunded.
Here is a man who oversaw the growth of a “rainy day” fund which was built on the backs of working class North Carolinians while lowering the corporate tax rate to on of the lowest in the country.
Here is a man who has helped to keep the minimum wage in North Carolina at the lowest allowed by the federal government.
