When you as a teacher receive an email like what follows, it can be rather offsetting.

I can understand why it was sent at that particular moment, and I can understand that because of the timing and the need for investigation, but it is still unsettling to think that all of that vital info could have been compromised.

But we should have known more.

Much more.

Because now we learn:

This teacher is so not reassured at all. With the deliberate deterioration of federal safety nets out of Washington along with the continued attack on the integrity of public schools in this state by its own General Assembly, it adds even more pressure to those who work in classrooms.

When the government refuses to put in further protocols to protect students against gun violence, it is regrettably not hard to see how easily schools can become vulnerable to cyberattacks.
