“Guns, Measles, & Disarray” – The WSFCS Promotional Poster For Teacher Burnout.

And just remember that this can be in any NC school district – mine just happens to have taken a public lead.

This is the front page of today’s Winston-Salem Journal.

Take a look at all of the major headlines.

1. “A Board in Disarray”

    No sh*t.

After this week’s farce of a meeting, the elected body charged to confront the shadow of the district’s financial debacle has shown that months of opportunities to reflect on past actions only makes them more willing to lean on hubris and auger into their political partisanship.

Hundreds of educators have already been RIF’ed this school year.

A headline like this only makes more willing to not cone back to the system.

    2. “North Carolina health officials urge residents to get vaccinated for measles as South Carolina outbreak spreads”

Just a good reminder that we are still the only state in the country without a new state budget. Therefore, we are running on last year’s recurring budget numbers. And Medicaid funding is part of that.

    3. “If measles case shows up in Forsyth schools, unvaccinated students will be sent home”

Wait, aren’t schools one of the most congregated places in the county which meets more frequently than almost any other entity?

    4. “5 now charged after car reported stolen at West Forsyth High School”

And then there is that loaded gun found.
