This teacher was looking forward to having a boringly noneventful start to the school year.

But I teach in WSFCS.

This morning brought this news:

In the ten months that he has occupied the office, it will have been over two years for this school board to have found and convinced someone to serve as a permanent superintendent for this school system.

And when that hire enters office, WSFCS will have had seven supers within about nine years. That does not negate the fact that we just might have our third straight interim (non-permanent) super come October.

Imagine having seven principals in the span of nine years in a school.

That lack of continuity speaks to potential teachers who might be students in our schools, universities, or thinking about lateral entry possibilities.
