When the current session of the NC General Assembly convened in April of this year, it was almost immediately publicized that a “framework” of a new budget that is way overdue had been agreed upon. Even the GOP in the NC House put out a post bragging about it.

So…where is it?

“I feel like we are moving in the right direction,” Berger told reporters Wednesday. “We’ve got a ways to go. We’re nowhere close to being finished, but we’re making progress.”
