In Cherokee County, GA, school officials have closed down the campus of a third high school for a period of time due to the number of students and staff who have tested positive and have been asked to get tested and are quarantining.
Cherokee County borders both Fulton and Cobb Counties. it is densely populated as most of metro-Atlanta is.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution is posting a daily data chart of the number of students and staff who are identified as being infected and the number of students and staff directed to quarantine and get tested. That data is being updated and maintained by the Cherokee School System.
The data is not updated until all parents are notified and it obviously does not included data that is not reported by students.
The range of grade levels and the number of schools is noteworthy.
